Funky C:
Is an up-tempo Funky Instrumental, with great melodic lines, that is well suited for playing in the car while commuting or whenever you want to get in the touch with the good feeling of life. The melody is in a singing style, so you could easily find yourself humming along with the five trombones playing here. Anywhere you want people to get in the great mood, is a great place to play this track.
Oh2Band:
Oh2Band consists of the musicians playing with composer, arranger, singer and trombone playing band leader Odd Helge Hveding.
He decided to start releasing his music in 2017. After an intense restart on practicing trombone, since years of teaching all the music theory subjects, composing and arranging for a lot of different musical settings and conducting practically any ensemble available, had made the practicing a lower priority, the first recordings took place during spring 2017.
The wish of having a local process came true and the beginning of recording his own music became a reality. His love for trombone made it necessary to make this wonderful instrument a huge part in the sound image. At the same time, the music is not very typical trombone music with its mix of different European, North and South American musical styles.
On the first single, Funky C (single edit), Hveding plays solo trombone and form (in addition) a trombone quartet accompaniment, along with Rasmus Johansen on bass and Håkon Kristiansen on drums. Funky C is, as the title suggests, a funky style tune, but it is playing with the influence of samba in a pop music style frame. This is the first step towards a double EP, called “This and That”. The EP’s will be recorded with a larger band and will contain music in different styles, still easily listened to and entertaining.
